Reflection
We approached this Californian bungalow remodel with a focus on creating a home that feels effortlessly sophisticated while perfectly suited to modern family life. Working alongside the architect, we reworked the floorplan and thoughtfully increased the footprint to add functional spaces, including a dedicated home office, while maintaining a seamless connection to the outdoors. By overseeing construction, we ensured every finish, detail, and spatial decision reflected the design vision, resulting in a home that’s elegant, light-filled, and entirely livable.
Beyond the interiors, we selected the exterior paint colors and finishes to enhance curb appeal and ensure cohesion between inside and out. This attention to the home’s first impression meant the exterior spoke the same design language as the interiors; refined yet welcoming. By shaping both the architectural framework and the design details, the finished home feels holistic rather than piecemeal.
A key part of our role was guiding the project to stay within budget while still delivering a polished, fully finished space. Because this was not a forever home, we kept resale value front of mind from the outset. Every design choice was filtered through a balance of timeless appeal, livability, and long-term value. The result is a home that not only reflects the lifestyle of the family who lived there but also presents as a strong asset for future buyers; a prime example of how thoughtful design pays off.

From the Client
“Jennifer’s design completely redefined the way we live in our home. What impressed us most was her ability to combine practicality with elegance, nothing ever felt overdone or unnecessary. Every space now has purpose. We find ourselves spending more time together as a family in rooms that once went unused. It feels like the home we always imagined, finally brought to life.”
A 300-square-foot addition to this Californian bungalow created much-needed extra space for a growing family.
