Q: What was your biggest challenge before starting?
A: We had no idea where to start, what order to do things in, or how much it would cost. It all felt overwhelming.
Q: How would you describe Jennifer’s role?
A: Jennifer was like our design compass. She listened, offered ideas we hadn’t even thought of, and made sure the house felt like us, not just a pretty space.
Q: How does the home feel now?
A: It's vibrant, warm, and functional, a perfect balance of old and new. We finally have spaces that work for our family while honoring the home’s history.
Reflection
It was easy to see the potential in this 100-year-old Colonial, with its strong bones and beautiful original architectural details. Our clients wanted to bring a youthful energy to the home that better suited their young family. My focus was on freshening the interiors while staying true to the heritage of the house. The clients came in with a fantastic art collection, and weaving those pieces into the design gave the rooms so much personality. Proudly recognized as a Finalist in the 2021 Westchester Home Design Awards.
